A Better BillPay Experience Is Coming Soon

Jul 21, 2025

We’re upgrading your BillPay experience within Rally digital banking — making it even easier to manage your bills anytime, anywhere. Whether you pay bills once a month or schedule them all ahead of time, the new BillPay makes things faster, simpler, and more secure.

This update will roll out automatically within online and mobile banking. There’s nothing you need to do — your current billers, payment history, and scheduled payments will all carry over seamlessly.

What’s Staying the Same

You’ll still be able to do all the things you rely on BillPay for, including:

  • Set up and manage Autopay for recurring bills
  • Receive and pay eBills (electronic bills)
  • Add reminders for upcoming bills
  • View and manage payment history
  • Group your billers and assign them to categories
  • Send payment inquiries if something looks off
  • Download your payment data for recordkeeping

What’s New or Different

We’ve simplified the experience and removed a few features to streamline things:

  • You’ll activate eBills one at a time instead of using the multi-activation option.
  • Custom biller categories can no longer be created. You’ll still see any categories you’ve already added.
  • You won’t see a “reason” option when marking a bill as paid manually.
  • Profile and account details are now managed by Rally, not within BillPay. If you need to update personal info, just contact us directly.
  • Any edits you make to a biller (even with a pending payment) will automatically update across the board — no extra steps needed.

Welcome Messages & Tooltips

When you log in after the upgrade, you may see a quick welcome message introducing the new layout and guiding you to get started. You’ll also notice small info icons throughout the platform that offer quick explanations of new features (like MultiPay, Unpaid Bills, and Recent Activity).

Virtual Card Payments

Some billers may now accept virtual card payments, which are secure, electronic payments that eliminate the need for paper checks. If your biller supports it, you’ll see a short message letting you know your payment is being sent this way — there’s nothing you need to do.

New Help Guide

Need a hand? The Help Center is now called the Help Guide, and it’s just a click away. Tap the “?” icon in the upper-right corner of your screen for helpful tips and instructions- when logged into your BillPay service.

BillPay Upgrade – FAQs

What’s changing with BillPay?
We’re upgrading our BillPay system to bring you a more modern, streamlined experience. You’ll notice a refreshed look and easier navigation, especially on mobile devices. The update is designed to make managing your payments faster and more intuitive.

Will my scheduled payments or billers be affected?
No changes are needed on your end. All your current payees, scheduled payments, and payment history will carry over automatically.

Will this affect Business BillPay?
This update only applies to personal (consumer) BillPay. If you use Business BillPay, there will be no changes to your service at this time.

Will I be notified when the upgrade happens?
Yes. When the new BillPay is available, you may see a welcome message when you log in. It’ll give you a quick overview of what’s new and how to get started.

Can I still manage my personal info and linked accounts in BillPay?
You’ll still see your existing information, but if you need to make changes to your personal details or bank accounts, just contact our Member Service team and we’ll be happy to help.

What happens to the categories I created for my billers?
Any categories you’ve already assigned to your billers—even custom ones—will remain after the upgrade. However, you won’t be able to create new categories moving forward.

What’s the difference between “Add a Memo” and “Add a Note”?
“Add a Memo” lets you include a message that will appear on the check sent to your biller. “Add a Note” is just for your reference and will not be shared with your biller.

Will I still be able to see my past BillPay activity?
Yes. Your entire BillPay history—including previous payments, scheduled payments, autopay plans, and eBills—will still be available.

Where can I find a summary of what’s new?
Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll see a “What’s New” page highlighting the new features and updates to help you get familiar with the improved BillPay.
