Credit Score Dashboard by SavvyMoney FAQs

What is SavvyMoney?
SavvyMoney is a comprehensive Credit Score program offered by Rally that helps you stay on top of your credit. It provides your latest score and report, explains key credit factors, and offers personalized tips and savings opportunities. Daily monitoring alerts you to major changes, helping you watch for fraud and stay financially informed.

Will Rally use my SavvyMoney Credit Score to make loan decisions?
No. Rally uses its own lending criteria and credit bureau reports for loan decisions. SavvyMoney is purely educational, designed to help you build credit awareness and improve your financial health.

Why offer it if it’s not used for lending?
SavvyMoney helps you understand and improve your credit, so you’re better prepared when applying for large loans like a car, home, or college. It also helps you find money-saving opportunities with Rally.

What is a SavvyMoney Credit Report?
It includes all your credit file information—open accounts, inquiries, payment history, utilization, and public records. Viewing your report through SavvyMoney won’t affect your credit score.

Is there a fee?
No. SavvyMoney is completely free and doesn’t require a credit card to sign up.

How often is my credit score updated?
Your score updates monthly within Online Banking. You can also click “refresh score” on the dashboard daily for real-time updates.

Will checking my SavvyMoney score lower my credit?
No. It uses a “soft inquiry,” which does not impact your credit score.

Does SavvyMoney offer credit monitoring?
Yes. You’ll receive email alerts whenever there’s a change in your credit profile.

Can members use it on mobile?
Yes, it’s available through Rally’s mobile app and is fully mobile- and tablet-friendly.

Is my data secure?
Yes. SavvyMoney uses bank-level encryption. Your personal data is never sold or shared.

How does SavvyMoney differ from other credit tools?
It uses TransUnion and the VantageScore 3.0 model, developed by Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, for a more uniform and clear picture of your credit.

Why do credit scores vary?
Different bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and scoring models (FICO, VantageScore) calculate scores using different data and weightings. Scores typically fall into these ranges:

  • Excellent: 781–850
  • Good: 661–780
  • Fair: 601–660
  • Unfavorable: 501–600
  • Bad: Below 500

What if something looks inaccurate?
Use AnnualCreditReport.com to request your full report. You can also file a dispute directly within SavvyMoney. The FTC provides step-by-step instructions on correcting errors with each bureau.

Can joint account holders use SavvyMoney?
SavvyMoney pulls credit for the primary account holder. If a joint holder wants access, they can open a separate savings account as the primary holder.

What if I’m locked out?
Click "Contact Us" within the module or email [email protected]. Provide your name and indicate you are a Rally Credit Union member. Depending on the issue, the support team may reset your access or inform you of any waiting period required.
