What You Can Do to Protect Yourself?

Did you recently receive a text message fraud alert from Rally?
The text alert would be sent by our Fraud Center and would come from the number 37268. This is a legitimate text.

Why did I receive a fraud alert from a merchant named Stripe?
Stripe is a secure payment platform that multiple large businesses utilize for payment processing. Merchants such as:

  • Klarna
  • Afterpay
  • Affirm
  • Amazon
  • AliExpress
  • Walmart
  • Etsy
  • Target
  • Wayfair
  • ASOS

Never share account information. This includes your Online/Mobile banking login, account numbers, Social Security number, and PINs. Do not provide personal information over the phone unless you initiate contact and verify that it is a trusted source. If someone contacts you claiming to be Rally asking for a password or a code, DO NOT answer them, do not provide any personal information, or click any links. Please hang up and call us at 800-622-3631.

Do not “over share” on social media. For example, avoid posting when you are on vacation and when you will be returning. Wait until you get back to post the fun photos!

Secure your mail. Place outgoing mail in a post office collection box. If you plan on being away from home for more than a couple of days, have the US Post Office hold your mail. Even better— sign up for eStatements!

Safely dispose of sensitive information. Shred any papers that have personal or financial information.

Freeze Your Credit. A credit freeze limits access to your credit report so no one, including you, can open new accounts until the freeze is lifted. To be fully protected, you must place a freeze with each of the three credit reporting agencies. A credit freeze is free and can be temporarily lifted when you need it.

Monitor Your Accounts

Regularly review account statements. Report any suspicious activity immediately.
Set up eAlerts. Get real-time text or email alerts when transactions occur on your debit cards.
Sign up for Card Control. Manage debit card access and availability.
Request a copy of your credit report annually. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to request a free credit report from the three main consumer reporting agencies — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. The only website authorized to give this free report is www.annualcreditreport.com. You can also request a copy by calling 1.877.322.8228.
